![]() ![]() Nowadays I try to get a loud mix before the final stage, so normally I dont need a Clipper and a Limiter. To get my final loudness I used to have a Clipper and then a Limiter and I just got much cleaner Loudness with Voxengo OVC 128 and then Elephant or UAD P Limiter. Limiter 6 - I think the final nail to sell my license was the UAD precision Limiter or maybe the Voxengo Elephant Limiter. On my demo list is for sure the MDW Comp (hexpensive, I know). In this case maybe more user error?!? Im using right now P11 and some UAD Compressor. Kotelnikov GE - I never really geeld with it. TDR Nova got exchanged with Oxford Dynamic EQ and Weiss EQ1 - especially the top end on the Weiss is one of a kind imo. :-)I would say often it is just my personal workflow where other plugins fit better to me. (Although often a new plug-in helps you work out what you should have already been doing in the first place!). You don't always need a new plug-in to fix the errors you make with your existing stuff. Knowing what to listen out for would might also have an additional benefit of being transportable to plug-ins I already have. Just out of curiosity, which plug-ins did you go for to replace TDR?Īnd in what way do they sound better? I'm not trying to be argumentative, genuinely interested in knowing what exactly to listen out for.
